<div>My Name is Maria, My husband and I are lucky to be friends with a very special couple Gary &amp; Clare.  Last night the worst imaginable tragedy took place making our friends homeless.

<div>A fire broke out and there was little time to think, other than get out as soon as they could. There was no time to grab anything, it was all over very quickly.

<div>This morning they are faced with the devastation of losing the home they loved so much.

<div>They were lucky to escape with their lives, children and family pets. Everything was lost in the fire the pictures show it all.

<div>We are looking to raise money to cover the costs of materials to rebuild their home. Already friends are offering their time to rebuild this home that has taken years of hard work to build, over 20 years of sweat and tears.

<div>Imagine waking up and only having the clothes you are wearing and nothing else.  The thought is my worst nightmare and I am sure it would be yours.

<div>These are the kindest people, thoughtful and generous and have always helped others. Some of you may know them from The Captains Bar in La Cala, they had the restaurant bar for many years.
