<div>Help a Local Family Rebuild After a House Fire This Christmas

<div>Early this morning, our family experienced a nightmare no one ever expects. Our home near the lake was lost in a sudden and devastating house fire. I woke up to flames and immediately woke my husband. We couldn’t escape through our bedroom door, but by God’s grace all four of our children were sleeping in our room that night.

<div>With the front door already completely engulfed, my husband tried to open the windows—most wouldn’t budge. Finally, one window opened. I jumped out, and he carefully handed each of our children to me. An officer was already outside, running along the back of the house searching for our window. Everything happened in seconds.

</div>

<div>All of our children are safe. Our dogs, Jaxon and Heidi, were also rescued thanks to the incredible response from the Skiatook Police Department and Skiatook Fire Department. We are forever grateful to these first responders who helped save our family.

</div>

<div>While we are beyond thankful that our lives were spared, we lost everything inside our home — including clothing, daily necessities, and all of our children’s Christmas presents. Watching everything burn was heartbreaking, but we are choosing to move forward with faith, gratitude, and hope.

</div>

<div>During this Christmas season, we are humbly asking our community to stand with us and help our family begin again. Any support—big or small—will go toward replacing basic necessities, caring for our children, and taking the first steps toward making our family whole again.

</div>

<div>We are currently without clothing, shoes, diapers, wipes, baby formula, or dog food. Our wallets and keys were also destroyed in the fire, making transportation and daily logistics very difficult right now.

</div>

<div>This has been the most terrifying experience of our lives, but it has also reminded us how strong and compassionate our community truly is. Especially at Christmas, we believe in coming together, lifting one another up, and showing that love and hope still exist—even after tragedy.
