Rebuild Thornton After Hurricane Melissa

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kimberly Dillon, and I was born and raised in a small, close-knit community in Thornton St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Though I now live in the United States, my heart and roots remain deeply tied to my family and neighbors back home.

Recently, Hurricane Melissa tore through our community, leaving behind heartbreaking destruction. My family home—where generations of memories were made—suffered severe damage, and many relatives and neighbors lost everything. Roofs were ripped away, homes flooded, crops destroyed, and basic necessities such as food, clothing, and clean water have become daily struggles.

I’m organizing this fundraiser to help my family and our community begin the long road to recovery. The funds raised will go toward:
• Repairing damaged homes, including roofing and essential structural work.
• Providing food, clean water, and emergency supplies to those displaced.
• Assisting with school supplies and uniforms for children affected by the storm.
• Supporting elderly residents whose homes and livelihoods were destroyed.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in restoring hope and stability to people who have lost so much.

On behalf of my family and the entire community, I thank you sincerely for your compassion, prayers, and generosity. Together, we can help rebuild not just homes—but lives and futures.

With gratitude and love,
Kimberly
