On October 18th of 2020, Susan Stiles was admitted to the hospital suffering heat exhaustion. The care home was at a temperature of 138 degrees, sending all the patients to the emergency room and 2 did not make it. It was at this moment it came to light that the care home she was living in was in major violation of several codes and an investigation is actively going on due to neglect and abuse.
Since then, she has been displaced and staying with her daughter Melissa. She needs 24/7 care and desperately needs to find a new permanent home.
The cost of the transition will roughly be about $2000.00. Plus she has lost all of her belongings due to unsanitary conditions. This includes toiletries, clothes, shoes, and all personal belongings.
Her finances are frozen due to an ongoing investigation of the personal care home and in order to get her into a permanent residence now, housing will need to be paid up front.
The space in the home is limited and if we do not move quickly she may loose her spot. Please consider helping in any way you can as this is an emergency situation. We are trying to rebuild the life that was stolen from her through this horrible situation.
