Rebuild Small Business after Irma
Donation protected
I am creating this page for my parents. My family sought refuge in the US in 1979 from a civil war in Nicaragua. They had little to nothing. Their dream was to open up their own business and see their children succeed. Through their hard work and ambition their American Dream came true.
Unfortunately, Hurricane Irma destroyed the dream they were living. The hurricane caused the roof of their business to collapse and destroyed over 80% of their inventory. All of their savings was invested into this business. Unfortunately, they failed to get renter's insurance and their landlord disclaimed any liability in their leasing contract. He refuses to seek their losses under his property owner insurance.
They have lost over $50,000 in inventory and have no money to replace. Their dream is broken.
Please donate anything you can and help them rebuild.
We will forever be grateful.
