Rebuild Roof, Walls, Floors

Donation protected
I have started this gofundme to help a local Wendell resident make repairs to his home that is in dire condition. He is retired Air Force and so was his wife that passed away in August last year. He is actively helping with some repairs but his age limits his ability. He first requested help with his roof, however the supporting walls and interior ceilings also suffered a lot of water damage that led to insect infestations in the wood. I appreciate all those that have reached out and I do post updates on my youtube channel. I want everyone to see what we is being accomplished to make this happen. It is a slow process but is moving forward.

Since November of 2023 the following has been accomplished.
1. 5 20yard containers have been filled and removed of trash and debris. Cost $2000 about 375 a container plus fees for mattresses.
2. Tarped the roof. $425 for rope and string.
3. Rebuilt the back door entry steps and small deck. $55 for deck boards.
4. Created a roof support system for the collapsing roof/walls in the living room. no cost donated materials.
5. Removed rotted floor joist and wood floors in the hall bathroom. $200 for 2x6 joist and 3/4 osb floors.
6. Removed/Replaced exterior wall vinyl siding/1/2"osb installed new osb and tar paper wrap and rear supports on the back of home, fixed leaking window seals that caused the rot. Donated materials plus $23 for window sealant.
7. Removed rotted interior wall bases with new wood around the bathroom that had a collapsed floor. Donated wood, no cost.
8. Have partially rebuilt support wall studs in the living room, removed about 1/2 the molded ceiling panels and insulation in the living room and secured the front door with temporary repairs. Raised the roof close to original level, about 5" total so far. Donated material no cost.
9. Removed trees and saplings that were growing to close to the home to make repairs. No cost other than a few gallons of gas.
10. Built temporary walls around the kitchen and master bathroom to protect him as he still lives in the home. No cost donated material

As of the start of March 2024, the hall bathroom is being repaired and replacing the black water pipes with pex. The water pipes constantly busted due to manufacturer defects. The goal at this time is to repair this bathroom for his primary use so I can block off the back of the home as single wide. This is due to the major rebuild that will be needed to the front wall and roof.

Donations have been slow but I am finding material that can be used to keep moving forward. I have raised enough for shingles and roofing paper and thats about it. 1/2" osb for the roof is still needed and I suspect it will cost about $980 for materials to fix rotted wood in the roof structure and about another $1200 for the front exterior wall rebuild. I hope to start this part of the project by April 2024, which will be a big effort to finish before Winter 2024.

2x4x93 2x6x12 1/2 osb 3/4 osb t/g wall and ceiling insulation are needed, if you are local and willing to donate material I will come to you to pick up.

Thank you to all those who have donated so far. I am doing my best to save that funding for consistent roof shingles. This is a 24x48 mobile home and it does not qualify for assistance. Suggesting that as a solution is not an available avenue unfortunately.
