Due to heavy rainfall, there was a huge landslide near the south base of Mount dhawalagiri. The landslide caused to block the Raghuganga river, which flows through Raghuganga Gau. Pa. Li. Ka. Ward no 8. The huge flooding damaged roads, houses, agricultural land and more importantly the only school (Ritung Ma. Vi.)which has classes up to grade 10. The school lost 7 class rooms along with 4 room toilet. Currently, there are 175 students enrolled in the school. Due to flooding and damages in the roads leading to school and the school building itself, school is closed until it can be re-opened. THIS IS A COMMUNITY SCHOOL, WHICH IS RUN BY GOVERNMENT UP TO GRADE 8 AND ANY ADMINISTRATIVE AND OTHER EXPENSES FOR RUNNING GRADE 9 AND 10 ARE MANAGED BY THE COMMUNITY ITSELF. Currently, each students have to walk any where from 30 mins to an hour to reach Ritung Ma. Vi. Another nearest school that has classes up to grade 10 is an HOUR and HALF walk from Ritung Ma. Vi. If Ritung Ma. Vi. is not saved, every student will have to walk EXTRA hour and half oneway to reach the another nearest school.
Our small initiation to rebuild this school will help many young minds to grow and dream big.

भदौ २८ गते धवलागिरीको जरामा पहिरो गई खोला थुनेपछि रघुगंगा नदिमा आएको भीषण बाढीका कारण व्यक्तिगत घर, जग्गाजमिन, बाटा –चौपारी देखि छ/सातवटा गाऊको एकमात्र माध्यमिक विधयालय, रितुङ मावि क्षतिग्रस्त भएका छन्I बाढीले विधयालयको तिनवटा भवनका सात कोठाको साथमा चार कोठे सौचायालय पनि बगाएको छ I यस विधयालयमा एक सय पचाहातर बिधार्थी अध्यानरत छन् I बाढीले विधयालय जाने बाटो र विधयालय दुबै बगाए पछि, आहिलेको लागि दुई हप्ता विधयालय बन्द गरिएको छ I आधारभूत तहसम्म मात्र सरकारी दरबन्दी रहेको यस विधयालय मावि तह भने गाउलेहरुले चन्दा संकलन गरेर चलाई रहेका थिए I अहीले यस विधयालय पुग्नका लागि बिधार्थीहरु तिस मिनेट देखी एक घण्टा सम्म हिड्नु पर्ने छ भने यदि यस विधयालय लाई पुन संचालनमा लियायेन बिधार्थीहरु लाई नजिकको आर्को मावि विधयालयमा पुग्न ठप्प एक घण्टा तिस मिनेट एकतर्फी हिड्नु पर्ने बादियता पर्नेछ I यस विधयालयको पुननिर्माणमा सहयोग गर्नको लागि यहाँहरु लाई हार्दीक अनुरोध गर्दछु I
