Early in the morning of Sunday, May 30th, The Pik-n-Pig fly-in restaurant in Carthage, North Carolina (BQ1) was destroyed by fire.

This family owned restaurant is not just a pillar of Carthage, but was a huge part of the aviation community -- drawing pilots from all over North Carolina and the United States.
While insurance will help the rebuilding efforts, there will be thousands of dollars in additional costs to rebuild the restaurant building and help the owners survive over the coming months.

The Pik N Pig building was owned by the Gilliam Family (who also own BQ1, the airport property), and leased to the Sheppard family who run the Pik N Pig business.
The proceeds of this fundraising effort will go to the Gilliam family to rebuild the Pik N Pig building, and assist the Shepard family to ensure their restaurant can be rebuilt at that location for the benefit of all.

*This Fundraiser has been created with the support and authorization of the Gilliam family.
If there are excess funds above what is needed for the stated purpose they will be donated to the James Rogers McConnell Air Museum located on the field at BQ1.
