Story

For the past 6 months it's been an uphill battle with Jerry's heart issues...3 hospital visits...26 days total. He got out of the hospital in Corpus and has now thankfully been admitted to Hermann Memorial in Houston with some of the best doctors in the nation & world. We can't tell you how overwhelmed we are with how faithful God is to answer prayer and the cry of our hearts. Jerry's in the heart and vascular institute at Hermann Memorial in CCU but he's in great hands. They've done more for him in one week than the other hospital did in 6 months. The hospital in Corpus overlooked that he was on the verge of kidney & liver failure as they continued pumping him with potassium. Houston also found an infection in the heart but they are aggressively treating it. The doctors are working on getting him approved for LVAD https://stanfordhealthcare.org/medical-treatments/l/lvad.html which is a major heart surgery with a 2-3 month recovery and we will need to remain in Houston for the duration.   Our home is hours away from Houston. This will require traveling back and forth while he has the procedure and heals while the older kids are taking care of the house and doing school/work. Right now we could really use help with these added expenses and impending medical bills.    We also covet your prayers more than anything.
