Help Lynne Fearman Rebuild Her Art Studio
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nora Koerber, and I am an artist and long-time friend of Lynne Fearman, who is a working artist. I reside in the Tujunga area and have often gone to plein air paint with Lynne over the years. Lynne, along with her husband, tragically lost their home in the recent Eaton fire. Her home was located in the upper canyon of Sierra Madre, 775 Skyland Drive, 91024, which was also affected by the Eaton fire.
The fire was devastating: she lost all of her art supplies and paintings, her house and studio, as well as sentimental items and a collection of other artists' works that are irreplaceable. Her easel is gone, her drafting table, paints, storage, shelving, closet, flat files, desk, drafting chair, sink with hot and cold running water, special artist Method Lights, paint, brushes, air conditioning unit and heating, and more. She needs assistance to rebuild her studio and storage unit so that she can continue to effectively work and store art supplies.
Lynne wishes to rebuild her studio with fire-resistant material which has been estimated between $12,000 to $15,000.
Lynne has helped her local community of artists over many years by teaching and encouraging others to pursue their art dreams, usually at no cost to anyone. She has held nearly all positions on the board of directors in the Mid-Valley Arts League for several years, from Secretary to President. She dedicated herself and her talents to help numerous other painters as well as directing and participating in outreach programs in the arts to those who wouldn't otherwise have access to art instruction.
In the fire, Lynne lost every work of art except one. All items of value and sentiment are gone forever. The small studio her husband built for her in their side yard is gone, along with her house upon the hillside of the Sierra Madre mountains. Until her studio is rebuilt and her home restored, she is unable to create studio paintings.
No contribution is too small. Please do consider helping an artist who for many years has worked tirelessly to help others and may continue to do so for many more years, with your generosity.
Thank you,
