Rebuild Lamar, Texas

My name is Kevin MacDonald, and I live in Rockport, TX., in a small community called Lamar. What lured me to this place was the people, the trees, the fishing and wildlife that makes this a truly special place.  The people here are good natured and would help anyone if asked. I established this fund to help our community rebuild. Hurricane Harvey has taken and devastated this little community in many ways, but we are strong and will rebuild. This fund is created as a source to help in the rebuild of Lamar to return some quality of life in a community we all love. My intentions are to network with Weems Land Clearing and Construction to help assist our community by clearing debris, supply food and water, fuel and equipment to get to a point where we can rebuild. Bryson and Lacy Weems are the beneficiaries of the fund, and have orchestrated a clean up effort of 20-30 people who have volunteered in this effort. People sleeping on floors, no power other than what running generators would supply. They came in and gave to no end. Sack lunches made by the hundreds, burgers by the hundreds, land clearing, and spiritual Sunday I personally will never forget.   Your contributions are greatly appreciated, uplifting, and bring so much back to a place we call home.
