My Story

Hi, my name is Itolee Williams. I’m an educator and a Jamaican living in Canada, originally from Westmoreland. I love Jamaica deeply, and my heart aches seeing the damage left behind by Hurricane Melissa.

Over the past few days, I’ve managed to contact most of my family. Some have suffered major to minor damage to their homes, but I’m so thankful to God that no lives were lost.

Even though I don’t have a lot of resources, I want to do my part to help. God blessed me with the gifts of writing and drawing, so I decided to use them for good. I started a book drive, and all proceeds from my books will go directly into this fund to support rebuilding efforts and help families recover.

This GoFundMe is focused on Westmoreland, especially helping children, youth, church, and education. My goal is to help fill some of the gaps helping families rebuild, children return to school, churches reopen their doors, and communities find hope again.
