<div>Hi, my name is Helena Tellez. Yesterday my family and I were forced to evacuate our area quickly. In our rush to escape and with hopes that we would be able to return after a few days we left behind almost everything except for our backpacks full of clothes and our pets. We got a call later that morning that our house, along with almost every other house on our street had burnt to the ground. Everything we owned is now ash, childhood memories, sentimental and irreplaceable items, and the comfort and security of our home was all gone in a matter of hours. With almost nowhere to go we have ended up at our relatives’ house, but with only 2 rooms and 10 people, my entire family is sleeping in the floor of the living room. The fire has devastated our family along with hundreds of others, but as a community we will persevere. <span>The love and support we have received already means so much and hopefully your generosity can help us move forward.</span>
