This is for a Norfolk man who lost everything in a fire! He had no renter's insurance. See below!
On Monday, November 4th at 10:42 pm, I got a text from Hank (Building Manager): Call me! 911
I called immediately and found out the building was on fire! Unit 1 was fully engulfed and multiple fire trucks were on the scene. Praise God, the gentleman who lives in this unit was not home and everyone was evacuated safely!!!
When I got there, the fire was out and firefighters were emptying the burnt wallboard, bed frame, and some furniture out the back window of Unit 1.
As I looked inside, I could see the entire unit was destroyed. Nothing left except an iron table and a love seat.
Today, a week later, I got this text from Hank:
“The fire investigator has come and gone. He is ruling the fire accidental from the electric panel. As you know, the tenant had not been here when the fire occurred, but one thing I didn't mention was his rent for November was in the apartment inside his Bible. All of his personal items in the apartment were burned except for one thing. His Bible with the $ still there. I'm not an overly religious guy, but this has opened my eyes.”
Also from Hank:
“God was with all of us that night. I'm lost for words that the Bible is the only thing that made it out.”
