<div>Hello everyone, my name is Matthew Parkinson a resident of Georgetown, Tx in Williamson County. As you all know and heard throughout the Texas Hill country is suffering from being hit with catastrophic floods and from continuous rainfall for the last several days. Lots of people are without and even worse, several devastating fatalities. I thank the good lord my fiancé, dog, and I made it to higher grounds. Unfortunately we lost just about everything to our name. Our home, tools/equipment for work, clothes, cherished photos, p.c., office equipment and supplies, and well basically everything else your typical households items and necessities obtained. I own a small local landscaping business so my home/office was also taken in the tragedy along with several other business essentials. We were woken up around 7:00am by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department telling us to evacuate the premises and to get what you can as time is of the essence. We kicked it into gear thinking we would be back in a day or two to clean and repair damages and basically just cut our loses on what was unsalvageable. So we loaded up and I managed to help a neighbor move his R.V. to higher grounds then return and latch on to my work trailer with equipment and flee to safety. Within the hour we were notified and started receiving reports that our whole community was under water as several R.V.s weren’t able to make it out in time including ours. We are more than thankful to the officers on duty for alarming us and allowing us time to get to safety. Unfortunately we underestimated the power of mother nature and are now left without. We understand this is a lot to ask and are extremely grateful for any help allowing us to get back on our feet and try to regain a foundation we can rebuild from. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all families and loved ones affected by this tragic event. Thank you and God Bless!
