EARTHQUAKE REBUILD GILIS ISLANDS


The devastation in Lombok/Gilis is very close to my heart. My Farther, Sister, Brother Inlaw, Nephews, Aunty  and friends all live in Lombok.


My sister Riley , her husband Sabil and their two young twin boys lives on Gili Trawangan. Riley has lived on Lombok then Gillis for nine years. The Gili Islands are a group of three small islands located off the north-western shore of Lombok. Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air, Collectively the islands a known as the ‘Gilis’, they are technically part of Lombok.

The Gilis have gone from an Island Paradise to a Ghost town. My family have endured and witnessed the absolute destruction of the last three large earth quakes that have hit Lombok in the last two weeks. The death poll is already 381 and dramatically rising since the last earth quake (6.1 on Thursday) and 30,000++ in need of help. 


I have set up this fund to aid and facilitate the Community of Gillis, as these people have lost everything and the island is in absolute ruins. People have lost family members and their whole livelihood. People have nowhere to go and there is minimal food and clean water. 

The funds raised will be used to help with the reconstruction of Gilis and provide locals with food, clean water, transportation and medical needs.
