Coffee Nature's Joseph Oh had a dream of starting his own business when he came to America. The intention of this appeal is to request help from the neighborhood, his customers, so you continue to have a place to come for quality coffee, food, hospitality and the ability to relax in the warmth of art and music..Art/photo displays, comedy shows and open-mic showcases of music are added attractions.
Joseph nurtured his dream since 9th grade. He changed Coffee Nature’s product to “PT’s Coffee” and started serving pour-over coffee, the best process to bring out the full flavor of the bean. Joseph started communicating with customers about the benefit of pour- overs and started “latte art” which is a procedure of drawing images in the foam at the top of each cup, such as cat faces, bear faces, hello kitty, snowmen, rabbits, and others. This was a segway into setting up relationships in the immediate residential and commercial neighborhood, becoming part of the fabric and in some cases linking to families in the close knit community. Joseph fell in love with many of you as well as you with he and his family. Your children patronized Coffee Nature and grew with Joseph’s kind words of encouragement.
Until Covid-19 shutdowns, Joseph Oh and his family did well enough to support he, his wife and two children. But the Covid Coffee Nature disaster struck and financially days and weeks turned into like dominoes falling.
Today, Joseph is way behind in his rent and can barely make his home mortgage. He is in the rears $50,000 in back-rent. He had let his employees go with no return date.
But, Joseph is like the named Mars lander, “Perseverance”, still making coffee and food for you with good service and a smile, praying that the situation will end soon.
Joseph Oh and Coffee Nature need your help to stay afloat so he and his family can continue to serve you and not have to close the doors. If you can reach deep this one time so the Coffee Nature can survive, Joseph will be indebted to you forever.
