Christ Baptist Church Located in Spruce pine NC. Pastor Billy Ledford, he has been pastor of Christ Baptist Church going on 20 years, Billy became pastor in 2005. The church was in the Estatoe community until July 7th, 2010, when the church was destroyed in a fire. At the time there were only 15-20 members. Christ Baptist was having church in people's homes and outside at the park. The Lord provided a building in the town of Spruce Pine, members spent a lot of time and money remodeling the building and turning an old store front building into a church. Over 15 years the Lord blessed this little church, they have around 20-25 members. September 27, 2024 the Lord had a different plan for them. Hurricane Helene came through our small town and flooded the Church building. Christ Baptist Church once again got destroyed and everything inside was ruined, they only managed to save a few song books and the crosses on the walls. The building isn’t fixable, and since it was a rented property there wasn’t insurance. Christ Baptist Church has decided through a lot of praying, they are going to start the process of finding a new building or building a church on some land. If God puts it on your heart to donate no amount is to small and if you cant that okay! Just please keep this church in your thoughts and prayers. The devil is working hard, but we will not let him win. God has a plan for Christ Baptist Church, and we all must trust his plan. Thank you so much!
