Help Central Arts of Hurst Rebuild After Devastating Roof Damage
Hello, our names are Daniel (@StealTheShank) and Johnny (@nitroidd), and we're reaching out on behalf of our beloved community hub Central Arts of Hurst- a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community and creatives all across the DFW area. When Central Arts is not serving the community, it's also the home of ArtcadeDFW, Superdash, Anime Social DFW, Virtua Sekai Project.
Last night, a massive downpour caused severe roof damage to the facility, leaving our space damaged, unsafe, and unusable.
Who They Are
Central Arts of Hurst is more than just a venue space. A lot of people do not know they provide:
- Free or low-cost art classes for youth and underprivileged families
- Esports tournaments and gaming events like Superdash, giving young people a positive outlet
- A venue for independent music artists and performers
- A safe space for events like Anime Social DFW and Virtua Sekai Project
- After-school programs to keep kids engaged, safe, and inspired
- A creative space for events, workshops, and community gatherings
Why They Need Your Help
The roof collapse and flooding have destroyed essential parts of the space- art supplies, electronics, furniture, sound equipment, and more. We’re helping assess the full extent of the damage, but it’s already clear that there needs to be more support.
