Hey, my name is Anthony Brandon. I lost my house to a fire and lost everything I owned: my car, my house, and the things inside my house. I lost it all. I’m a licensed barber and hairstylist. I’ve had three shops in Houston, TX. However, my last shop was on Telephone Rd. The shop was connected to a gas station and a convenience store. They turned out to be illegal immigrants, and then they left the shop and their store. My barbershop was connected to their store, so I didn’t have lights and no one to help me with the plaza to even move a meter or anything like that. I was forced to move my barbershop to a home barbershop, which was my home that burned down.

After I lost my home, I lost my shop as well, and it caused me to have nothing because I didn’t have a foundation anymore. My home was my foundation, and I only have me. People would say, 'Don’t you have family?' My brother and my grandparents have all passed away, and it’s just me. My mom's boyfriend is the one that set my house on fire. They say it was by mistake, an accident, but those same people are living their life and had the funds to get me a home or even reimburse me for a home 10 or 20 times, and they never did. So, at that point, I just chose to stay on the streets because no one would help me.

My business is 100% successful, but I don’t have a foundation anymore to even service my customers. It’s been very, very hard for me, and it’s been a year now since my house burned down. I only received help from one guy when I was inside my burnt home. I had to live in my burnt home for two months until my face peeled, and then someone eventually came from next door and picked me up. I had to tell them that I was losing my home, even though I thought someone would come by and help. Nobody ever helped, even though my mom's boyfriend is the one that set it on fire. She still never helped. They never helped me, causing me to not have a good relationship with them. Then I had to leave the hotels, and I’ve been just staying on the streets. I have a 100% successful business with no building god I ask you send help, but I only have God at this point, so I know in my heart that God is going to see His people. Amen.
