Family Home lost to the wildfires...

On the night of December 4th, the Luboff & Leavitt family was evacuated out of their home at the base of the Topa Topa Mountains in Santa Paula from the out of control Ventura Thomas wildfire. They took the animals and rushed their family to a safe place, the next morning they heard the devastating news that their home couldn't be saved and was burned to the ground.

Please donate whatever you can. The family is displaced and the home they recently put so much love into is completely  lost to the fire. Your donations will help them piece their home and lives back together as they rebuild.  They will need assistance while they await what will be covered as they plan on rebuilding.

About me - I'm Megan Koraly Northrop - I currently reside in Encinitas, CA but am born and raised in Ventura County - I'm so very saddened to see what Ventura County is going through, and family and friends who were in the path of the fires-

The Luboff and Leavitt families that lost their home in the Thomas fire are family friends that I have know for severeal years - We celebrated Diana Luboff's dad's 90th birthday in the home they no longer have. I call Jerry my "Uncle Jerry" - he worked with my mom at the Conejo Valley Unified School District for over 15 years... he's been a huge mentor to me and his house is on the land that burned as well. Their property is at the base of the Topa Topa Mountains in Santa Paula  - the fire moved through that area early on and they had very little time to pack up and leave when they were evacuated.

The funds will help Diana and Tony rebuild their home, and help cover additional expenses while they wait to see if the insurance plan with cover some of what they have lost under "natural disaster". The funds will go to toileteries, clothes, and additional items that they didn't have time to grab in such a hurry when they were evacuated.

All funds you contribute will go directly to Diana and Tony Luboff through the gofundme beneficiary tool to allow them to get the direct funds to them in an efficient matter - those that are effected by these fires know firsthand what expenses they need help with.

The Luboff and Leavitt Families are very dear friends, Jerry (pictured above) is like family to me.  We appreciate any and all help for this family.
