My name is Brandon, I am 17 years old and from Dublin, Ireland.
I opened a small shop in Dublin selling sneakers in 2022.
"In a David vs Goliath case a small Irish start up has come to the attention of NIKE."
Some of you may or may not have read some news about my start up business SWOOSH being taken to the High court by Nike for using the name “Swoosh”
HOW IT ALL BEGAN:
In 2022 Using all my life savings I originally set up Swoosh Supplied (Swoosh.ie) as an electric scooter sales company during covid lockdown, being out of school at the time because i could not wear a mask in class i found myself in suitation that i needed to do something with my life.. the business didn’t go as good as I thought, I had a love for everything sneakers so i decided to start selling sneakers instead of scooters.
I used what i had left in savings and this is when I changed over and rebranded the whole store and started reselling sneakers.
I have since issued with a high court summons.

Nike are claiming they own the word SWOOSH, they want me to hand over my website and rebrand the store and stop using the word SWOOSH.
A lot of work and money is needed to rebrand and this is why i have started a Go Fund me page to help me rebrand the store.
As a 17 year old up against a giant like NIKE its difficult for me to fight such a legal battle but with the help of a community i can continue to operate.
Because the situation is evolving, we'll continue to communicate any updates on case. As you can all imagine, this has been a VERY challenging time for the family. We appreciate your understanding and We're hopeful about our future involvement in the sneaker community and will be highly appericative for any contributions. We thank you again for your support and look forward to updating you along the way.
(Anyone who contributes will be listed in the credits of a new video/mini commercial that we will have professionally made about the whole saga) See below an example of our previous video.
