Rebekah's Life-Saving Surgery

We are creating this go-fund me page to help an incredible woman, who would not ask for help herself. We know it's necessary to have your help to allow Rebekah to have lifesaving surgery.
Rebekah is our friend/wife/mother/daughter/sister/teacher....She describes her daily life as "being 40 years old and feeling like she is living in an old lady's body". As many of you know, Rebekah has been diagnosed with a very rare brain tumor. She went through 2020 with declining health and several other diagnoses before they found this tumor deep in her brain. Daily she deals with migraines, pressure in her head (especially behind her right eye), loss of words, dizziness, very high blood pressure, and was diagnosed with SVT atrial tachycardia with her heart (her pulse rate goes over 180 beats or more a minute at rest).
Recently Rebekah had to have fluid drained off of her brain in order to relieve the pressure. Needless to say, the pain has been excruciating. The great news is that after a lot of research and many different specialists appointments, she has been approved to have surgery completed by Neurosurgeon, Dr. Dong Kim in Houston, Texas. As Rebekah lives in California, this comes with quite a bit of logistical difficulties for her and her family as she will need to stay in the Houston area for one month. As difficult as this will be; living without the surgery is not an option. Dr. Kim's office reached out to Rebekah with a cancellation available to her to complete the surgery immediately, but Rebekah's out of pocket expenses will be a minimum of $15,000. Unfortunately, she had to decline the surgery because she has not been able to save that amount of money yet as she lost her job due to her declining health. She is speaking with the office to hopefully get this surgery scheduled in the next month, but needs this money to pay her portion of the surgery up front.
At this time we are reaching out to everyone to help Rebekah get the surgery she needs. Rebekah has touched so many of our lives in the daily things she does. Depending on how you know her... she may have been your child's early intervention teacher helping your family in so many ways, she may have been your house sitter caring for your animals, she may be family and we all know how much she does for everyone in her inner circle every chance she gets, she may be the mother of your child's friend and has driven your child to any number of events or she may have been your dental hygienist. She has held so many hats for so many of us. She is a woman who has dedicated her life to helping so many people, we are hoping to reach out and be able to give back to her as she would never ask.
