Further Rebecca\'s Music Career!
Hello, all!
Summer 2012 will be a very exciting time for me! My muscial studies are taking me to England, Ireland, Wales, and Italy.
My summer will begin in Orvieto, Italia where I will spend three intense weeks preparing the role of Zerlina in Mozart\'s masterpiece, Don Giovanni. Not only will I be coached on my role and participate in daily staging rehearsals, I will also study the Italian language. Knowledge of languages is so important for an opera singer. Immediately following the program, I will fly straight to England to join the University of Kentucky Women\'s choir on our international tour. We will enjoy ten beautiful days of comaraderie, idyllic scenery, and (of course!) singing! We\'re working hard to put Kentucky on the musical map. We want the world to know what wonderful music happens in the Bluegrass State.
If only these trips could be free! But alas, experiences of a lifetime like these come at a cost. The combined cost of both trips is over $8000. I have some savings and have put aside money from each of my paychecks, but I will still come up short. I humbly ask for any contribution you can make to my singing career. $100, $25, even $10 will help me achieve my goals. Singing is everything to me and any help you can provide will bring so much joy to my life and to the lives of those who enjoy my music.
