Rebecca Case Medical Needs

Rebecca Case is a 29-year-old mother of six who is facing a serious surgery to deal with a pre-sacral tumor or lesion.  She is awaiting a number of tests including an MRI, bloodwork, and colonoscopy as well as a consultation with additional specialists.

Rebecca has been sick for some time and had a very difficult time with her 6th pregnancy.  At 6-weeks post-partum, Rebecca was not improving so she had a CT scan which revealed at least two tumors/lesions in the colorectal area.  She has received a consultation with a colorectal surgeon, and has been refered to a neuro-surgeon (who will be needed to assist in the surgery due to the number of nerves and nerve endings involved) and a hematologist/oncologist in preparation for the surgery which will be scheduled for a date after "Millie"  reaches three-months in age. 

It is anticipated that due to the location of the lesions, the surgery will be extensive and will require a significant amount of time for recovery and rehabilitation.  This will mean that Rebecca will spend much time away from her children.

Rebecca and Matthew are commited Christians who attend at Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and Collierville Primitive Baptist Church.  Matthew is employed at FedEx in Memphis, Tennessee, and is working hard to provide for his family. 

In the past year, due to an injury to Matthew's hand, hospitalization for their oldest child Naomi, and the birth of their youngest child, "Millie", they already are responsible for more than $6,000.00 in unpaid medical bills. 

With the upcoming tests, surgery and potential follow-up treatment, the bills are going to rapidly increase.
