ALS Diagnosis - Help Support Dean

Dear Friends, Family and Unnamed Angels,

This heartfelt request goes out on behalf of one of our family members, Dean.

Most of you are aware of recent news concerning this family’s son, husband, brother and uncle, Dean McNeely. On August 10, 2018, Doctor's diagnosed Dean with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a progressive neurological disorder that results in muscle weakness, a progressive disorder that affects areas  around  speech, swallowing, breathing, use of hands, arms, legs and feet. We were all wishing for better news and an end to Dean’s pain.  But instead, the news means a long and difficult journey ahead.

But we are fighters! We are not accepting this diagnosis without a fight, or allowing ALS to limit how we live, instead we are going to take a stance and fight, you could say, our family has become Dean’s Warriors!

For over thirty years, Dean has worked hard operating his successful hair studio business and given his clients a creative and unique hairstyle specifically tailored to each request and personality. A commitment Dean has always prided himself on that keeps his clients feeling beautiful and fabulous, often turning a one-time client into a longtime friend. Now its Dean's turn to feel this way, to feel fabulous!

As you can imagine, this intruder, ALS, has taken a toll mentality and financially. Dean is the sole provider for his family and has been unable to work for most of the given year. Hospital stays, doctor visits, medicines, household bills and everyday life has robbed his savings and comfortable life only to be replaced with stress and uncertainty. Two of the most dangerous factors we want to keep away from this nasty disease.

Yes, we believe in miracles and our faith in strong but we need your help, help to support Dean and his family throughout this ALS journey. Help us turn dark times into happy memories filled with hope and love.
