I am raising funds for students in my music classroom, allowing them to enrol in instrumental lessons. Having taught these students for almost a year, they have shown great potential in learning a musical instrument.
In 2020, I have developed a comprehensive music program that includes weekly instrumental lessons. The school has invested its annual budget in purchasing musical instruments such as a drum set and keyboards to support the growth of the music program.
The school has seen the impact of how these instrumental lessons have impacted the students' learning and emotional well-being. However, there is still a significant number of students whose families struggle to afford the fees of the instrumental lessons, especially due to the unprecedented COVID-19 situation, putting additional strain on finances.
The school has decided to raise funds and give out bursaries to students who have shown great musical potential but are faced with financial difficulties.
Each bursary awarded to the students is worth $200, sufficient to cover 10 weeks (1 term) of the instrumental lessons. We hope to raise sufficient funds to award these bursaries to the students in Term 3 - July 2020.
