Read disability research for free

In 2011 my book 'A History of Intelligence and Intellectual Disability' was published by a mainstream publisher. According to Simon Jarrett, the editor of Community Living, 'the growing field of intellectual disability history now has its own historian of ideas, and what an excellent one it has in C F Goodey'. The price which Taylor & Francis, the publisher, has put on it - £125 - is beyond the reach of researchers, students and even librarians. New regulations on Open Access mean that I can place it online for free, so that it is available to all - as long as I pay a licence fee. The cost of the licence is £3,000, and that is my target sum.
I have already also published at my own expense (and for free) a short version of my work in an accessible format for people with learning disabilities and their families. This will continue to be available. By crowdfunding Open Access for the full version too, I hope that students and researchers will be able to enjoy the same benefit, so that they can read it at no expense to themselves.
