Reaching out for Doug Maynard

About 7 years ago our Dad, Douglas Maynard, was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia). CLL develops from a certain type of white blood cells and has fewer than 200,000 cases per year. It progresses slowly, usually affecting older adults. CLL may not cause any symptoms for years. When symptoms do occur, they may include swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, and easy bruising. This past year Dad was rushed to the hospital with chest/abdominal pain. After several tests they found the pain is stemming from an enlarged spleen and many lymph nodes, both a result of the progression of the disease. Our parents are the most giving people you will ever meet and would never ask for a helping hand, so my brothers and I are asking for your help. With medical bills becoming a constant headache and treatment starting the first week of the new year we decided to create a go fund me account. Our parents are both small business owners and with the amount of time they will be spending at the James they will not be able to work as much. Asking for help is hard sometimes but we’re not only doing it for my Dad, or my Mom, brothers/sister.. but also for his grandkids. They all adore their “Pop Pop”. The power of the people is a real thing. Even if you can’t help financially, we would greatly appreciate your prayers.
