Reaching rural voters in NC

We're working on empowering progressive voters in the Second Congressional District. We've been going door-to-door -- but homes in some of the poorer, less populated areas are too far apart, stretched along narrow roads, we can't knock those doors.

When I started this campaign I was guesstimating. Now I know exactly how many postcards I'm sending because I've made the address label files. The total is 9,416 - in three rural precincts in the Zebulon area and 6800 voters throughout all of Harnett county - many of whom not only don't have internet, they don't have cars and some of them don't have phones and some don't even have electricity because they can't pay the bills.

We are asking these isolated voters to attend their precinct meetings in mid February, in order to aid "Get Out The Vote" efforts in 2018.

This project is not initiated, controlled, or condoned by the Wake County Democratic Party. It's an independent activity by concerned voters. So far I've spent several hundred dollars of my own money on this project, and I've fronted the money.  And I will pay for whatever I can't get contributions for. If you have not been able to go door to door, this is a way to contribute to the effort to reach disenfranchised voters in rural North Carolina. Thank you!
