Alex "jr" Munoz is nothing short of an athlete. A young man who displays his skills and leadership on the field. Baseball is life for this kid! Those of you who have known Alex Jr. since birth know that the kid has always been very competitive.
He gets it from his Poppa!
Alejandro "Onyx" Munoz instilled this drive, this passion, this love for the game in his son. From coaching him through T-Ball and Rookie levels at our local Chicago Park Districts to practicing with him and taking him to baseball games. Onyx pushed his son into loving the sport and showing him how to develop mental and physical toughness at such a young age.
Alex Jr. was cut short from enjoying his fathers coaching, motivational talks, time, and love. On May 21st, of 2012 Alejandro "Onyx" Munoz was tragically taken from his family. Alex Jr. only 7 years old at the time unable to really comprehend what happened.
Alex is my Godson, his Mother Natalie is my Best Friend, Comadre, and a sister. I made a promise to her when her husband passed away. That no matter what or how I would always try by best to help her and the kids out. This is why we decided to start this Go Fund Me page.
Alex Jr. now a freshman in high school has been offered an Opportunity to play for the Under Armour Baseball Factory Travel Team! We are asking family and friends to help us reach a goal of $5,500 to allow Alex Jr. to continue to chase his dream! The kid is making it!
