Kidney For My Dad

Donation protected
My father was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2017. Prior to that he had a business, was a well know chef and has always taken care of me. Since his diagnosis he hasn’t been able to work and has tried to work, but dialysis has made it really hard as a single father all while trying to handle a teenager and driving me back and forth to my friends houses and school. Their is days where after 4 1/2 hours of dialysis he has had to take me to work and had been unable to drive because of the cramping in his hands from his dialysis treatment  and trying to grocery shop after dialysis and being unable to carry the groceries up the stairs. He has had five surgeries which has taken a toll on his health and is on a transplant list for a kidney but has been on it for 4 years , because of his blood type it is very hard to find a kidney. His ultimate goal is to get a kidney transplant and get back to living a normal life. Our money goal would go to transportation and costs for the transplant that are not covered by my fathers insurance and then after the transplant if he were to get one he would have to take costly rejection medicine that aren’t covered by his insurance and costly medical bills that haven’t been picked up by his insurance provider. We are currently living off of disability checks and my father is trying to raise me on a fixed income. Anything at all would help. His blood type is O. My father is the most strong willed , absolutely hilarious guy I know he could be going through hell but still find a way to cheer you up and seeing him go through surgeries to helping take care of him recover and having to bandage up his wounds after his recoveries has not only been hard for him , but hard to see the person you look up to the most go through hell and back and trying to keep a smile for not only me , but him too. I believe in my heart if your gonna do something you do it out of the kindness of your heart. Anything will help , more than money, it would be a miracle if someone was able to donate a living kidney so we could get back to living a normal life. A kidney would be the ultimate goal , but anything at all helps. Thank you so much for listening to our story.
