Taft College Foundation: Ryan Weinberg Memorial Fund

Donation protected
In August of 2012 Ryan, Alan and Pam loaded up the SUV with Ryan's 49ers and Giants jerseys, his Raven's bedspread and many more dorm room essentials and set forth on what would be Ryan's incredible college adventure! Ryan proudly attended the Taft College Transition to Independent Living program. As no surprise to anyone who knows him, Ryan quickly became everyone's buddy(and even got his first girlfriend!). From trips to the movies and Special Olympics gold medals in bowling tournaments to the close friends he met, Ryan truly flourished at Taft due in large part, to the amazing program TIL. At TIL Ryan learned valueable life skills that allowed him to truly become independent! Ryan was a dedicated employee at the fort and an extremely hard worker: getting accepted into the third year program at TIL.

While Ryan was watching his beloved 49ers in the playoffs, Ryan went into cardiac arrest. Because of his amazing buddies, supportive and caring staff members, and incredible girlfriend at TIL, Ryan was able to hold on to spend some amazing moments with family and friends. Ryan passed away on January 28, 2014 surrounded with his family and most importanly, snuggled up to his beloved mom and dad.

As Ryan would have loved, we want as many people as possible to benefit from the TIL program that meant so much to Ryan and continues to mean so much to his family! So please donate to the Ryan Weinberg Memorial Fund!
