On December 28, 2016, three-year-old Samuel Lasure nearly drowned after climbing over a locked gate and falling into a relative's pool.  While it is a blessing that Sam is still here with us today, his motor functions were greatly affected by the brain injuries sustained from the drowning.  He can no longer speak, walk, or do many things that we all take for granted.  Sam has a long road ahead to recovery.

Thankfully, with the help of Dr. Harch at Harch's Hyperbarics Medicine Practice in New Orleans, Sam has been approved for intensive hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).  Dr. Harch's treatment, combined with regular speech, occupational, and physical therapy, provides Sam with the chance at regaining his motor functions at an accelerated rate, and that he may someday function once again as a normal toddler.

This therapy does not come without a cost.  Due to the treatment being experimental, as determined by the insurance company, HBOT is expected to cost Sam's family over $10,000.  With four other children to care for, Sam's family is struggling to find a way to cover the expense of treatment to give Sam the best chance possible for recovery.
