Service Trip to Uganda

Cara and I have been chosen to go on an unbelievable service trip to an orphanage in Uganda with 147 Million Orphans . We will travel to the Masindi District of Uganda in June to provide critical support to a local orphanage and the surrounding village. 147 Million Orphans provides meals to the children, operates a sustainable garden, and they recently built a reclaim center that takes in, and cares for, severely malnourished children until they are healthy enough to return to their village.
A trip like this is a life long dream and stems from Cara’s passion to one day adopt. At age 15 Cara found out she would never be able to carry her own child because of a rare medical condition called MRKH. Ever since getting such a difficult diagnosis she has very passionately believed her purpose in life is to adopt and give a child the life they deserve! While this trip is not about adoption it’s Cara’s situation that has made a service trip like this a dream of ours and it’s why orphans hold such a special place in our hearts.
While it is a dream to help serve in this way the reality is it is very expensive. The trip will cost more than $4,000 per person which is why we are asking for help! We know the reward for both ourselves and the children of Uganda will far exceed the financial burden but any donations would help eliminate the stress and reality of a very expensive trip.
