Please Help A First Generation College Student

Despite the Pandemic I decided to continue my education and pursue college, in order to set an example for my three younger siblings. The four of us were born to a teen mom and live in a single-parent household.  My mom had a stable job that she was relieved from due to coronavirus so money is more binned than usual. Despite scholarships and Finnancial aid, I still have an outstanding balance at my University. This balance prevents me from continuing my education here. Ive worked extremely hard this semester to maintain a 4.0 GPA so that I will be awarded a greater scholarship next semester but in order for me to get there I am obligated to my current bill. Ive tried getting a job but many business are in debt and simply don't have the budget to pay more employees. I don't meet many requirements for online jobs due to my age and educational status. This is my last resort, otherwise I will have to give my education a break until I can afford to pursue it. I feel like money issues along with the lack of support is one of the many reasons First Generation College Students don't make it. Although this obstacle has revealed itself I refuse to allow my future to trail along with it. We all could have gone a little further in life with some support. So I’m asking that you support me in furthering my education

I was born just 200 days after 9/11 and I will be taking flight from the nest while the world is yet again in distress at the hands of a pandemic, “Coronavirus” that is. I graduated High-school with a 3.7 GPA, 32 college credits and over 800 hours of community service. Along with the challenges of Ap, dual enrollment, and honors classes, I assumed the Presidential position in my schools Future educators of America club chapter. I also managed to participate in clubs such as, Bible club, Epsilon, and our prestigious culinary team. If you’ve ever visited Miami Northwestern Senior High school there is no doubt that you know my face from my assistance in the main office, or my voice from the PA as I deliver the  school’s announcements on a daily. From a young age I took an interest in criminal studies. Always curious as to how our society has managed to separate “criminals” mentally from the rest of the world. “How does the brain of a criminal function or differ”? I wish to know more about the psychology of things so I can adequately defend and protect the humane rights of “criminals”. Therefore, Im attending Alabama State University majoring in psychology, and minoring in criminology. After completion I plan to move on to law school and into a fulfilling career.
