Patti has been battling lung cancer for the past year.
When we found out about her diagnoses last December, it had already metastasized and was declared stage 4.
From the beginning she made her wishes very clear, she wanted to keep the news quiet so she could live her life and continue to work.
Patti is a clinical psychologist and herbalist and has spent the past 30+ years of her life dedicated to helping others through her private psychotherapy practice, herbal medicine, and laughter therapy club.
But to those of us closest to her, she is a beloved mother, sister, cousin, and deeply loyal friend. She loves with her whole heart and gives everything she has to give every day of her life.
The time has come that Patti has to close her practice and focus her full attention on her health. As her symptoms continue to progress, it has become increasingly difficult for her to work. Her coughing, wheezing, and sharp shooting pains have gotten to the point that she can no longer get through a session.
Her limited savings has been used over the past year to pay for her out of pocket and alternative medical expenses as well as a number of unexpected but necessary home repairs.
She has been fiercely independent her entire life. She lives on her own and her wishes are to be able to die in her home.
Donations will be used to help pay for Patti's care, caregivers, and care for sugar (her sweet little pup).
