Raynae's Medical Bills

Two months ago Raynae began experiencing some problems with her stomach and feeling abnormal bloating. A few weeks later after visits to doctors, specialists and undergoing procedures we found she had a large mass on her ovary. Raynae underwent surgery on November 23 and during surgery they detected cancer cells and proceeded to remove both ovaries and did a hysterectomy. The following week we learned that the pathology reports indicated ovarian cancer. Raynae will begin six months of chemotherapy treatments next week. On Tuesday she will undergo a procedure to insert a port in her chest for weekly chemotherapy doses.
We are starting this Gofundme account to raise money for medical bills over the next six months. Raynae is now on disability but her employer's disability plan works in conjunction with the California State disability program. As you can imagine, due to COVID, it is difficult to get the California system to respond. Raynae's employer's disability program will only pay a portion (25%) of her normal pay because California is supposed to make up the rest. So we wait. We've learned that only a few states work this way, and California is one of them.
We are also hoping to be able to provide other treatments for Raynae over the six months to support her health during the chemotherapy but some of these treatments and medications are not covered with her insurance plan and can be quite expensive. Our goal is to get through the next six months and keep Raynae as strong as possible during chemotherapy.
We've started working with doctors and specialists to put a plan together for the next six months and need to begin some of these treatments this week, especially those that will strengthen her immunity. Any help you can give to help us fund these treatments for Raynae would be greatly appreciated.
We rest in believing that Raynae's health and her life are in the hands of the Lord. All the funding and medical expertise and prayed for success hinges upon that truth. We ask for your prayers during this time, that God would give us wisdom and discernment during this season.
