How do we begin to tell you about Ray... Generous to a fault, he would give you the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet, and all he would ask for in return is friendship. Lord knows he and his family didn't have a lot of money, but to say that he was rich in friendship and caring is an understatement.
We lost Ray to a terrible accident in Lake Michigan Sunday afternoon. I say "we" because Ray was loved by so many, he couldn't go anywhere that he didn't know somebody and if by some chance he didn't know anybody, he'd have 10 new friends by the time he left!
Ray had knee surgery and recently started working long hours to get back on his feet. He did what he could along with his brother to support their mom; so we need help to give him a proper funeral. We know that his family can use our help to lay Ray to rest.
Ray may have been small in stature but he was larger than life itself, a giant among us when it came to showing love.
As you can imagine, we are in urgent need of help and anything you can spare will go a long way.
