Hello my name is Patricia White. Now I realize life affords us a certain amount of time to be with the people we love, but as I sit and reminisce about my husband Ray of 52 years, who passed on October 4, 2017, his smile, his laugh, the way he held me, his craziness, and how utterly funny he was, his presence is so tangible I can still feel him in the room with me.
But then reality hits home, and I realize it's not his physical presence that is here with me, but those precious memories of my life with him.
Ray was a former veteran and a 38 year worker for the El Paso International Airport. He cherished life and was a dedicated family man, loving husband, and father of 2 sons, 1 daughter, 4 grand children, and 4 great grand children.
Ray had been sick for several years, in and out of hospitals with COPD, Congestive Heart Failure and kidney failure, Watching him fade away was devastating and took a tremendous toll on everyone who knew and loved him.
Unfortunately, Ray was without insurance and the cost's of $4,000 for his funeral are proving to be too financially burdensome for me. While I would love to give him the grandest send off afforded by man, I am simply unable to do so. With my faith in the good hearts of strangers, I humbly request assistance in my dilemna in burying my best friend, my husband, Ray.
