My name is Rayanah Mkuu and I am a second-year student at the University of Florida majoring in Mechanical Engineering. This year, I am proud to be a contestant in the Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Miss Black and Old Gold Scholarship Pageant as Contestant #3.

As a future engineer, my mission is to break barriers in STEM (Science, Technology,

Engineering, and Math) and empower the next generation of innovators—especially young black boys and girls. I want to show them that they belong in these spaces, that their voices matter, and that they too can achieve greatness.
