My name is Eugene Harris and I am sharing my Love for my brother with you.
Ray Harris, my older brother, was a guy that emboddied the phrase "hate has no home here" He would give of his time & money not to mention his car. We loved his thoughtful spirit.
Ray Loved LIFE, living life & sharing life. Ray loved his family & friends, Ray loved driving to visit family & friends lol ok lets keep it real Ray Loved Driving. We are all faced with challenges in life and the challenges that were dealt to Ray never got in the way of him being there for others he stayed always hopefull & always perservered. In last hours we were counting on his stubborn spirit and will to live and he fought a good fight to the end.
The Last 27 years of his life he shared with his NA community and supported each and everyone who walked through the door. His uncany ability to pick up and rebuild was always a testament that others could follow; that I followed. Ray carried and unobtrusive tenacity for responsibility and details that I personally admired and watched others benefit from.
As my older brother he was always my go-to person - he gave me new clarity and a new perspective on issues that I may have overlooked. Ray, at the end of the day advised the K.I.S.S principle and simplified things that I made complicated - One year and one day older than me, no matter what life gave us in opposite directions, we always looked forward to the the two-birthday call updates every year without fail on 10/8 and on 10/9 - As a child everything Ray did I wanted to do from alter boys, scouts, swiming, bike riding & summers jobs Ray was my mentor. Ray had our mothers heart and characteriscs setting the example for kindness and sharing.
As humas we struggle with the word "untimely" when it comes to death yet, as belivers we are mindful to remember that Gods time is always on-time never late never early. Rays separation from family & friends has brought a deep heart felt sadness all to all that knew him that no one was prepared for emotionally or financially.
Therefore, it is with humility and the deepest respect that we are reaching out to you at this time for your financial support. We have 1 week to raise enough funds for a Memorial Home Going Celebratiion of Life for my brother Ray Harris. All financial contributions are gratefully appreciated.
