It’s Ray Bradbury’s birthday, but he deserves more than this.

Piece of Ray Bradbury’s now demolished home in Cheviot Hills, California. Donated July 2018 by Ray Bradbury’s former neighbors to the Ray Bradbury Experience Museum.

They said he painted his house in Los Angeles yellow because it reminded him of dandelions in Green Town. In the basement of that house, Ray Bradbury wrote “Something Wicked This Way Comes” and over 500 stories, plays, and screenplays.

He’s famous all over the world.
His achievements are literally stellar. NASA honored his imagination with “Dandelion Crater” on the moon and “Bradbury Landing” on Mars.

But here’s the sad truth.
Ray Bradbury’s home in Los Angeles was flattened in 2015. Hundreds of American writers are celebrated with a hometown museum. None exists for Bradbury.

Now that can change.
People from all over the country are coming together. They believe Ray Bradbury deserves more. They’ve taken his advice to “Jump and get your wings on the way down.” And now, the Ray Bradbury Experience Museum is underway.

It will honor him right in his hometown, Waukegan, Illinois.

In his beloved Green Town that he immortalized in “Dandelion Wine” and other stories.

Where the ravines, circuses, and mysterious houses fired up his young imagination.

With your help, Ray Bradbury will “live forever.” Join so many others who daily are donating in-kind services, expertise, other volunteer time, as well as making financial contributions. Together, let’s give him this long-overdue tribute. Let’s build the museum now.
