ABC News reports one of the worst tragedies to hit the Tonto Basin community. The Rawlings/Sherwood families are still searching for one of their children. We request your prayers and support in this difficult time!
Thank you to all the volunteers and first-responders who have dedicated so much for our family! And a special thanks to the community for prayers, donations and kindness. Please know that your love is truly felt.
Many more media updates and details are available now, but we first shared the news using this link: ABC15 News Report
This fundraiser began by the efforts of family friend, Jennifer Brimhall and her brother David Jensen, on behalf of the family. GoFundMe updates continue to be posted by Jennifer, David and trusted volunteers, so that the Rawlings-Sherwood families can remain focused on the search for Willa. For public statements from the family, one will need to speak to Lacey Rawlings or her mother Trudy, directly. (A public statement can be found in interview conducted by Maria Hechanova from AZ Family here .)
The outpouring of love has been a testimony to the amount of goodness there is in this world and in White Mountains, Tonto Basin and so many other Arizona communities. We have received donations from around the United States. Each donation goes directly to offset Daniel and Lacey Rawlings expenses related to this horrible tragedy. May our Heavenly Father bless you all individually and your families as He has blessed the Rawlings through your generosity and kindness.
Please note the celebration of life for cousin Austin Rawlings:
“A celebration of life for our baby girl Austin will be held on Friday, December 6th at 2 PM, with a reception to follow. The service will be held at CCV Peoria, 7007 W Happy Valley Road, Peoria 85383."
