EVERYONE MEET RATTANA!!! I met this incredible young man when I first arrived in Cambodia. I have never met anyone who has studied and work so hard in my entire life. He has just been offered the most amazing opportunity to leave Cambodia and study at Tomplins Cortland Community College in the USA and he needs our help!
When Rattana was 10 years old his mother died of cancer. Before she passed away, even though they were very poor, they lived happily. Everything changed and his family started to face even more problems. His father had to do everything while earning money and the family simply could not cope. Rattana and his youngest brother were enrolled at Anjali House, a local organization supporting underprivileged children through education, basic care and family support. He studied there for over 9 years. Anjali House has provided him with many things that his family really needed such as food, clothes, education and school supplies.
Today he says that Anjali House has played an important role in his life and without this support, he would not have what he has today. After he graduated from high school; his ambition has always been to study abroad to access high quality education. He now has the opportunity to study International Relations and Politics. He hopes to study and return to Cambodia to fight against poverty, corruption and to take Cambodia out of the state it is in today. Please help me fund Rattana’s flights, some warm clothes and part of his school fees so he can embark on this incredible journey. I am aiming to raise $4,000
