The story:
In my heart, celebration is one of the most important elements of life. Positive, dynamic, joyous energy has the great ability to create the miracles of peace, unity, and love in our world, and I have an incredible gift to share. I aim to bring out the best in life with all ages and walks of life through my art, dance and music. In my bazillion years of experience, I have seen people light up. I have seen them cry for joy. I have seen the hardest of souls laugh out loud and those sufferers of aliments, such as depression and dementia, spring to life. I have brought together cultures of people on the dance floor in peace and harmony despite their history and preconceived notions. As a hard working professional and world experienced dancer, I invest nearly all of my energy, time and finances into bringing the great gift of joy to the world. I don't ask for much in return, as seeing hearts filled with happiness and connection is the best gift I can ever receive. Viva!
What am I supporting?
You will be supporting Rasa Vitalia's Live Dance Shows. Often times, due to attendance/ticket prices, the cut at the door is very, very small. It's really hardly enough to cover gas. I write and sing on my own tracks, but I cannot continue due to the lack of resources. Since 2014, a strong anti-art presence has pervaded in San Francisco. Peformance venues are rapidly closing down and my classes are being threatened to end at SFSU as class and show attendance has been minimal. Private events are now run by engineers that have less interest in hiring fun performers and caricature artists, such as myself, as they have their life caught up in the glow of technology. I'd love to stay in San Francisco, but this tech growth has staggered the interest in supporting the local arts community. I want to offer more shows, classes, and music, but it costs money to buy a computer, equipment, rent space for rehearsals and teach, eat, etc.. I need your support to get to the next level or get me to the right place where I will be supported and loved.
