During pre-op today, they found another mass in his spleen, we're not sure if its cancerous until we get a biopsy but the vet preferred to move the surgery nite Friday she could remove both tumors at once. With that being said, Rarris surgery is now estimated tto b e $14,000 and I must have it in full prior to moving forward with surgery Friday morning. I've sat at my computer for days thinking about how/what I am going to write for this, but the truth is, there's no "best" way to say it. As most of you know, my dog Rarri is my whole heart and soul. I’ve had him for 8 years now, and there's nothing we haven't done. From college to just moving across the country together to multiple festivals to road tripping the entire United States one summer, he’s been right by my side through it all. About a week ago, Rarri’s eating and behavioral habits were off, so I took him to the vet. After multiple vets and misdiagnoses the past week, we found a large tumor in Rarris kidney blocking his urinary trackway, making it almost impossible to pee. This Wednesday, Rarri is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove it. From the multiple hospitalizations and endless tests the past week, I’ve been blessed to be able to cover the $4k it cost to get this far. Still, Rarri’s surgery is estimated to be around another $10k plus the cost of his chemotherapy treatments.
