<div>My son, Christopher, was born on 08/08/24, a date we thought brought good fortune, especially in Chinese culture. Seeing him just an hour after birth was an indescribable moment—he was so precious, with facial features that mirrored my own.

<div>However, from the moment he was born, Christopher has faced severe heart complications. Initially, the doctors diagnosed him with Coarctation of the Aorta, where a portion of the aorta is narrower. After further tests, the diagnosis changed to Coarction of the Aorta, Ventricular Septal Defect, and Atrial Septal Defect. This will require 2 or more surgeries. This condition has made it difficult for Christopher to breathe, and he is currently in critical condition, intubated and in need of open-heart surgery and continuous care.

<div>Right now, multiple specialists are involved in his care, working to determine the best course of action.
