Rare Bird Kitchen Employee Relief Fund

Rare Bird Preserves is a small, woman owned and operated business located in the Arts District of Oak Park, IL. Due to the current world crisis, COVID-19, like many other small businesses, our studio kitchen and shop has been affected. Our storefront is closed to foot traffic, and our kitchen production has been scaled back. This is heartbreaking to all, as all of our Rare Bird Preserves are made in house by these hands. The women who work for Rare Bird are dedicated to keeping this small business in motion during these hard times , but unfortunately, with the compliance to CDC regulations. We have had to cut back work hours significantly to keep both our staff and customers healthy and  safe.

That's where this gofundme comes in. We are hoping to raise $5,000 to help support Em, Tracy, Simone, and Emma through these hardships. They are the women who you see in the shop every day, who greet you with a smile. They help you put together something special for someone you love, they pack up your jam orders, and they do everything in between. They are the people hand jarring and labeling your favorite preserves, and creating the wonderful treats that come out of the Rare Bird Kitchen. Without them, Rare Bird wouldn't be what it is today. 

We are currently working and as a small team of 5,  and we appreciate any amount of donation that could keep these women on their feet. Considering that we do not know how long this crisis will continue to impact our community.  All of your contributions will go to these women directly.
