Rapp Rocks Climbing Gym

Nic Wolfe, a passionate outdoorsman, is fulfilling his dream of bringing a rock climbing gym to his beloved community of Fredericksburg, VA. Nic has teamed up with fellow climbing enthusiast Adam Cox to make Rapp Rocks Climbing Gym a reality. 

Nic has been passionate about climbing and the lifestyle that comes with it for most of his life. He runs the Virginia Outdoor Center's kids program and was a Biology teacher for Stafford County Public Schools. As an educator and facilitator of the youth program at the local river outfitter, the Virginia Outdoor Center, Nic's vision for the gym includes serving the children of his community so they may have the opportunity to experience the many enriching benefits of climbing. Rappahannock Rock Climbing Gym is committed to developing youth programming with scholarship availability to dissolve financial barriers for those who might otherwise not have the privilege of experiencing the joys and empowerment that climbing offers.

Youth initiatives will be only one piece of the rich community and culture that will be possible under the roof of a local climbing facility. To further foster a deeper connection, Rapp Rocks Climbing Gym will also be committed to promoting local artists and various locally owned small businesses. Climbing has long been known for bringing people together and we look forward to a future of building relationships, creating connections and sending routes as a close-knit community. 

Climbers are more than familiar with problem solving and overcoming obstacles. The biggest challenge that Rapp Rocks Climbing Gym faces is raising the funds to build the walls and bring the project to completion. With the help of our local community we can make Fredericksburg, Virginia's first climbing gym a reality! Any donations are graciously welcomed.
